Day 1: Casablanca Airport – Hassan II Mosque – Hotel

Upon your arrival in Casablanca, a driver from Gorgeous Morocco Tours will meet you at Mohammed V Airport. He will transfer you to your hotel in Casablanca, passing by the stunning Hassan II Mosque along the way.

 

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will depart for Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. Here, we will visit the Royal Palace (Mechouar), the Oudaya Gardens and Kasbah, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower Mosque. Following our time in Rabat, we will continue to Meknes, where we’ll explore the Ismaïlian capital, known for its impressive 40 km long ramparts. Highlights include the famous Bab Mansour Gate, the Royal Stables, and the Jewish Quarter. You will spend the night in Meknes.

Day 3: Meknes – Fes

After breakfast at your hotel, we will head to Fes, stopping en route to explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. You will have some time to wander through these 2,000-year-old ruins and gain insight into life during the Roman Empire. Next, we will continue our journey to Fes, where you will spend the night in an authentic riad in the heart of the city.

Day 4: Fes city tour with a local guide

Around 10 AM, you will begin your guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the largest walled cities in the world. You will visit significant mosques, including the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima el-Fihri, and the Andalusian Mosque, dating back to 860 (please note that entry is not permitted to non-Muslims). Additionally, you will explore the beautiful fountains, including the Nejjarine Fountain, and visit the medersas (Koranic schools) established as early as the 13th century. The tour will take you through the lively Souk Attarine, Bab Boujloud with its green and blue ceramics, the Mellah, and the 17th-century Ibn Danan Synagogue. In the afternoon, you will visit the Borj North or South to enjoy panoramic views of the old medina and the sunset. You will spend the night in Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Casablanca

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes and drive back to Casablanca via the highway. We will drop you off at your chosen hotel in Casablanca. If you are departing on the same day, we can also transfer you to Mohammed V Airport. This concludes our 5-day Morocco tour from Casablanca via the imperial cities.
