Itinerary : Fes to Marrakech 6 day sahara Desert tour via Merzouga

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga

We’ll begine our 6 day tour fes to Marrakech with a pick up from your accomodation in Fes at 8:30 am. We’ll head to the sahara Desert, Which is the highlight of our trip. The first stop will be in Ifrane city named as ( the switzerland of Morocco). Later on we make the second stop in Azrou Cedar forest, you ‘ll have chance to see the barbary apes living there. Next we pass through the heart of the atlas mountains till Midelt ( the city of aples), the lunch will be served in this beautifull city.

After that we pass through Tizi ntelghomt and Rich town, Before our arrival to the sahara desert. You’ll have a great opportunity to visit the Gorgeous Ziz valley palms grove and its attractive panoramic views. We’ll get to Merzouga around 4pm at a hotel for a break, and then you’ll start your camel ride to the camp.

In the middle of the Erg chebbi dunes, The camel ride lasts to 1 hour approximately , while your camel trek. To the camp, your camel man will allow you to have a stop in the middle of the dunes to watch a unique sunset. Overnight in an equipped camp,( Dinner , party under the starry sky around the campfire).

Day 2: Tour in 4×4 around the sahara Desert

Today we recommend you to wake a bit earlier to watch the a beautifull sunrise in the dunes nearby. Your Private tent, After breakfast and shower in the camp, your driver will pick you up to start a 4×4 offroad adventure around Merzouga area. We’ll spend a while with a nomadic family to have a cup of tea with them and explore their way of life style in the desert. Later on we head to Mifis mines a famouse place for Minerals digging and hunting.

Next we’ll visit the Ouasis of hassi labied, located beside the dunes, a place where to see the errigation system owned by local families. We’ll have lunch in a local restaurant in khamlia village then we transfer you to your hotel for taking rest.

Day 3 : Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Todra gorges – Dades valley

After breakfast and shower we continue our private Morocco tour towards Rissani and Erfoud. Where we can visit fossil marble factory and shops, Then we pass Alnif town a small city. Known by a kind of fossils called ( TRILOBITES) Our next destination will be the Todra Gorge.

It is a paradise for climbers and you will have free time to discover it by your own in Few minutes of waling tour. Lunch will be in the same town then, In the afternoon we continue to the Dades Gorges,where we will have dinner and overnight stay in local riad/hotel.

Day 4 : Dades valley – Rose valley – Ouarzazate – Aitbenhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast we take the road towards Ait Ben Haddou, the queen of kasbahs (UNESCO World Heritage). And walk around. Later we will visit one of the most wonderful tracks of Morocco”Kasbah of Telouet”, ancient Glagui’s palace Pacha of Marrakech. We continue our way through the port of highest pass in Morocco Tzin Tichca (2,260 m). Where we will have breaks for panoramic views and lunch before we reach the imperial city of Marrakech. Overnight in riad.

Day 5 : Marrakech guided tour

Morning time around 9:00 am we start our guided visit and spend a full day tour to discover Marrakech. With a local guide, Called “the red city” because of the color of its walls and filled with gardens. Watered by underground wells (khettaras), which were built by the Almoravids and Saharan nomads in the eleventh century. In this day we will visit Menara, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, Majorelle Gardens and souks.
