ITINERARY: 7 Days trip From Casablanca to Marrakech
Day 1: Casablanca-Chefchaouen
The 7 day tour Casablanca to Marrakech via Chefchaouen Fes. will begine with a pick up from the Airport, by your driver from Gorgeous Morocco tours. He’ll meets you during your arrival, and head to Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco passing by The amazing rif mountains. We’ll get to Chefchaouen. Finally we drop you off in Your hotel/Riad you can have a walk into the city to explore its amazing blue streets. The medina is pretty small and very safe to walk without a guided tour by your own. B&B
Day 2 : Fes-Volubilis- Meknes-Fes
In the morning time after your breakfast, We will drive towards Fes, through the amazing Rif mounatains. This journey will allow you to explore Volubilis. It’s a partly excavated Berber city in Morocco situated near Meknes. And commonly considered as the ancient capital of the kingdom of Mauretania. After that we’ll visit Meknes and have lunch in the same city, Then we continue to Fes where you’ll spend the night in a beautifull authentic riad in Medina. B&B
Day 3 : Fes-Fes ( sightseeing )
Today is an Advantage to explore the ancient Medina o Fes el bali By a Local guide from the city. Fes is a city in northern inland Morocco and the capital of the Fès-Meknès administrative region. It is the second largest city in Morocco after Casablanca. You’ll visit a rang of interesting sights including: the bab boujloud Gate, Royal palace, Tannaries, ceramic workshop, Old univercity, and much more. After your visit afternoon time, your guide and driver will transfer you to the same riad or similar one. B&B
Day 4 : Fes-Ifrane-Azrou-Midelt-Errachidia-Erfoud-Merzouga
In the morning time after breakfast, we’ll pick you up at 8:30 am from the riad in Fes, and drive to Merzouga Desert. During this Journey, you’ll explore amazing places along the way. The first stop at Ifrane city, Ifrane in berber language means » Caves » and singular » Ifri ». It’s a small city in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains. It’s known for alpine-style architecture and nearby ski slopes and forests.
A stone statue of a lion near leafy Parc la Prairie is a very known landmark. Next we pass stop in in the Azrou forest of cedar, where you’ll see some barbary apes living there. The lunch will be in Midelt city during midday, And then we keep our drive. We’ll pass throu Rich, Errachidia, then a panoramic view in the imprissive Ziz valley, » the Second largest one in Morocco ».
You’ll get to Merzouga around 4 pm, you’ll ride the camels in Erg chebbi dunes and spend the night to your camp. The camel ride takes around 1h Including a special stop on the way to see the sunset. Overnight at your camp, You’ll have your private equipped tent ( Dinner, Berber drumming music around the campfire).
Day 5 : Merzouga-Merzouga ( Sighseeing)
Very early morning, we recommend you to wake up for a spectacular sunrise in the high dunes nearby the camp. Its an opportunity you shouldn’t miss while your visit to the sahara desert. After your breakfast & shower at your camp, we’ll start and advanture around Merzouga area to explore its amazing places. You’ll have a break with a nomadic family with a delicouse berber cup of tea, Then we continue through Mifis Mines and minerals.
Next we ‘ll visit Sarij lac, to explore some flamingos and other typs of birds in the place. The lunch will have it at a local berber town called khamlia, where you can enjoy a musical Gnawa music ( optional). Finally, we get back to your hotel in Merzouga for rest, the hotel overlooking the golden dunes. B&B
Day 6 : Merzouga-Rissani-Alnif-Todra gorge-Dades valley
After your breakfast in your hotel, your driver will pick you up, and head to Rissani, City. An ancient city where the River Ziz quietly ebbs away, but between the 14th and 18th centuries it was the location of the famed desert capital, Sijilmassa, where fortunes in gold and slaves were traded via caravans crossing the sahel. Today, Rissani is a dusty shadow of its former self. Barely a quarter of the population live in the 17th-century ksar (fortified granary) while the modern town constitutes a single street and one square.
Still, echoes of the past can still be heard in the epic haggling over birds, sheep and desert jewellery at Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday souqs. After this amazing visit, we continue towards Todra gorge via Alnif town for lunch. And then you’ll get to Todra gorges, » Popular destiantion for rock climbing », finally we reach your hotel in Dades. B&B
Day 7 : Dades valley-Kelaat megouna-Skoura-Ourzazate-High atlas-Marrakech
This morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Dades valley, and continue our last day of the Tour towards Marrakech red city. We’ll pass through Roses valley in kelaat megouna, and Skoura valley, to Ouarzazate city. This amazing city called » the hollywood of africa » because of the movies they took in it. You’ll have chance to Visit kasbah taourirt and cinema atlas studios.
And then we’ll get to Aitbenhaddou kasbah, which is our most interesting sight in this journey. In addition Its a fortified village and considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture. And has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. After the visit and lunch in the same town, we head to Marrakech over the majistic high atlas mountains. Via Tizi N tichka pass ( 2260 m high ), We’ll get to the Red city early evening. Your driver will drop you off in your riad/hotel.
