Itinerary: 7 Days tour Marrakech to Fes
Day 1 : Marrakech – Atlas mountains – Aitbenhaddou – Ouarzazate
The 7 days tour from Marrakech will start with a pick up from your hotel in Marrakech towards Ouarzazate and drive through several towns. On the way you will cross the impressive Tizi N’Tichka pass, a 2260 meters high the High Atlas Mountains. On this trip you can enjoy the magnificent views and landscapes. And also see the unique Berber villages.
After a few hours drive, we will stop to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou has been a World Heritage Site since 1987 and is a place that attracts many filmmakers from all over the world. Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia and many other movies were filmed in Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou.
After lunch in the village of Ait BenHaddou, we continue our day to (Hollywood of Africa). Here you will have the opportunity to visit the film studios where you can see props used in some movies such as Jewels of the Nile and The Last Temptation of Christ. Overnight and dinner in a riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 2 :Ouarzazate – Rose valley – Boutaghrar – Dades valley
After breakfast we will drive to the Dades Valley, This day we will visit Skoura Oasis and the beautiful Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna, where the Rose Festival is held every year in May. It is an opportunity to celebrate and show part of the culture of the region, including crafts and music. At the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, you will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos and enjoy the view before we continue to Boutaghrar, where you will meet friendly Berber families who still live in caves. After lunch, we will continue to Dades Gorge where you will visit the impressive rock formation and the very old Kabah Ait Yul. Overnight in a hotel (dinner and breakfast).
Day 3 : Dades valley – Todra gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga desert
After breakfast, we continue the drive to Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy the fascinating views and explore the high cliffs, which are an attraction for many climbers. Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant on the way. Afterwards, we will continue to Erfoud. It is an authentic and small town known for its fossil workshops that attract visitors. Then we will continue to Merzouga, where you will stay in a hotel near the high sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara desert.
Day 4 : Merzouga offroad trip and visit of nomads around the Erg chebbi and night in the Camp.
We’ll begine this 4×4 Merzouga tour adventure from Your accomodation in Merzouga. Then we head towards the black hamada. We’ll begine our journey by visiting one of the nomadic families ( berber bedouins ) to Explore their way of life, we’ll have a tasty Moroccan tea with them. Later on we spend few time at a local musical band of Gnawa music in Khamlia Town, The lunch will be in the same village and then we’ll visit the Ouasis of palm trees in Hassi labied village. Afternoon time you’ll start a camel ride that takes an hour to the camp. you’ll enjoy a peaceful night under stars , overnight in a private tent including dinner, berber music around campfire.
Day 5 : Merzouga desert – Erfoud – Ziz valley – Errachidia – Midelt
In the morning time at 9:00 am , we’ll pick you up from the camp and drive to Midlet” city of apples and marble”. By the way we pass through Erfoud ” Fossils and dates city” You’ll visit a workshop of fossils in this town. Then we make our second stop in The gorgeous Ziz valley, Passing by Errachidia, Rich and Tizi N telghumt pass, next we get to Midelt, overnight in hotel.
Day 6 : Midelt – Timahdit – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes
In the morning time we continue our trip to Fes, via The cedar forest. Where we’ll stop for a while to see wild monkeys.
