ITINERARY: Chefchaouen to Marrakech 3 day trip

Day 1 : Chefchaouen to Midelt city via Meknes – Middle Atlas Mountains – and Cedar Forest

After breakfast in your riad, you will leave Chefchaouen traveling towards Azro, a beautiful mountains village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey, you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco  where you may well sight Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas, overnight in Midelt.

Day 2 : Midalt – Ziz Valley – Tafilalt Oasis – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

The 2 day, after breakfast in the  Hotel, we continue on to Ziz Valley, and Ziz Gorge. You begin the climb into the High Atlas Mountains, before descending along the road. following the valley carved by the Ziz River. and into the fabulous Morocco desert.
Here you can enjoy, a panoramic view of the beautiful Gorges and Valley. with its vast date palm groves, shortly. After passing through, Erfoud city ( fossils town), you can see some of Morocco’s rich fossil, fields. And quarries.
And then make your way to the Berber village of Merzouga. and Morocco’s spectacular Sahara Desert sand dunes. The beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes. Here you will take a camel ride, into the camp and dunes. to watch the sun setting, over the desert.
Tonight is spent camping. under the stars in comfort private Berber tent. Overnight in desert camp.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert to Marrakech via Ouarzazate – and High Atlas Mountains

Wake early to watch the sunrise before breakfast. Then, ride your camel back to the main road in the village of Merzouga. Your driver will be waiting to pick you up for the transfer to Marrakech. Stop half-way for lunch in Ouarzazate and then continue to Marrakech via High Atlas Mountains, The arrival to Marrakesh is usually scheduled around 6:00 in the evening.
