Itinerary: 3 day Marrakech to Merzouga sahara desert tour
Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Roses valley – Dades valley
Today is Our first day of the 3 days Marrakech to Merzouga sahara desert tour. Your driver from Gorgeous Morocco tours company, will pick you up from the riad at 8:30. Then you start your trip towards the mesmerizing atlas Mountains. The highest point 2260 M including some of the best panoramic Views on your way to Ouarzazate city. You will have the opportunity to stop for a cafe. You ‘ll have chance to discover a berber cooperative of Argan oils . Where the berber women they get an income for their families in atlas Mountains. The visit is optional and its free to visit, at least you can get few information about this pure products. After that we keep driving through telouet, we will get to Aitbenhaddou kasbah around 12:30.
Next You will have lunch and rest then you’ll start a guided visit to the most famouse kasbah in Morocco. This amazing place called AIBENHADDOU. Its a UNISCO world heritage site since 1987. Where so many movies were fimled, including ( GLADIATORE, GAME OF TANSE ETC…). After the visit we keep our trip to Dades valley, by crossing Ouarzazate city. And we pass through the attarctive Roses valley. We will include an other stop on our way for taking a break, then we continue to Dades valley. Where you will spend the night and have a deliciouse berber dinner at your hotel.
Day 2: Dades valley – Todra gorges – Tinejdad – Erfoud – Erg chebbi Merzouga
In the morning time after your breakfast, your driver will be ready to pick you up from You riad. Our destination today is Merzouga Sahara Desert.We’ll begine this journey to discover Todra gorge which is our first visit. You will have chance to hike into the Gorge for a while to take some amazing fotos. Then we keep our drive through Ait aissa Oubrahim town. The lunch will be in Tinejdad in a local restaurant. Next we head to Merzouga passing by Rissani, is” the gate of the sahara Desert”. We’ll have a stop in this beautifull authentic city, if you are lucky you can visit its amazing tradicional market.
Where the nomads they get theire nessisaries including: vegetables, silver and natural spicies. Rissani is located 35 Km from Merzouga Desert. it has 3 weekly markets ( TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SUNDAY). Our arrival to Merzouga will be around 16pm, before getting to your camels. Freetime to be ready for the desert trip. The camel trekking excursion is the best adventure that waiting for you this afternoon. You will enjoy a magical sunset into the erg chebbi dunes with your expert camel guide native from the sahara. Spend a unique night under a luxury equiped camp with a deliciouse berber dinner included. Your Camp team will offer you a classic berber drumming music around the fire under the milky way and starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Alnif – Draa valley – Ouarzazate – atlas Mountains – Marrakech
Early Morning,the camp team will wake you up to see a beautifull sunrise into the Golden dunes. Its a great opportunuty you should not miss while you are in the sahara Desert. After breakfast and shower We will drive you the whole way back to Marrakech. A long drive that lasts to 9 Hours driving. Our main visits today are Draa valley and Anti atlas. We will include of cours other stops on our way from time to time for having a break. The arrival to the red city will be around 6pm,where your driver will drop you off in you riad. Its possible also to end the tour in airport, bus station or railways etc… End of our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
